What is Our Lady of Grace Catholic Homeschool Resources?
We are a small group of woman who have been around Homeschooling for many years, as students and/or parent teachers. We are located in the Raleigh, North Carolina area. We are slowly growing and hope to provide not only online information, but also in person events for Catholic Homeschool families.
Are you affiliated with any particular Parish, Homeschool Group, or Co-op?
The simple answer is No.
Each of our organizers and volunteers are a part of a home parish, a local homeschool group, and/or in some cases a local homeschool co-op, but Our Lady of Grace Catholic Homeschool Resouces is not affiliated with any of these. It is a stand alone entity designed to help homeschool families as they learn and grow.
Are you a for-profit business?
No. Our Lady of Grace Catholic Homeschool Resources is a volunteer run, not-for-profit organization. All money collected for events goes directly to the running of those events. We pay for the space, insurance, extras for our guest (bags, paper, printing, etc) - all things required to run a large or small event. Any extra money from the event fees and donations are rolled over to following and next year's events.
Can I volunteer for your events?
Yes! We love - and NEED - volunteers in order to provide these events for your family. If you are interested in helping out please contact us directly at 4graceinfo@gmail.com. Volunteers under the age of 14 will need to be accompanied by a parent.
Are your volunteers Safe Environment Trained?
We strive to keep our events safe for our participants. Our leadership team are all SET certified (as age allows) and we follow the Diocesan guidelines for our volunteers when it comes to our under 18 crowd. Many of our Vendors are also SET certified.
Guests are responsible for their attending children and are not permitted to leave them in the care of our volunteers or vendors at any time.
